"Person Of Interest" Star Taraji P. Henson Pops Off About Being EXCLUDED From The Show's Publicity

Talk about a snub!  Actress Taraji P. Henson took to her Facebook Fan Page to express how confused and upset she was that CBS and others decided to exclude her from all promotions of the upcoming new drama, "Person of Interest."  I mean, she is the female lead on the show.

Deets inside...

It's bad enough CBS did not include the 2-time Academy Award nominee Taraji Henson in any tv promotions of the new suspense drama "Person of Interest" (a still picture of Taraji from the show is above).  But TV Guide also snubbed her from the cover story about the show.  She said:

WOW!!!! TV Guide is NOT including me on the cover with my cast members….....I am the female lead of a 3 member cast and I’m not included on the cover!!!!!! Do you see the shit I have to deal with in this business…..I cram to understand!!!!

And after removing it, she posted:

I swear you guys keep my spirit lifted cause it ain't easy AT ALL for a sister in Hollywood. Your love is God sent!!!! Thank you ALL from the bottom of my heart. Wanted to tell you all this on live TV at the Emmys (if I'd won) but......oh well. Muah!!!!!

I'm not even mad at her for poppin' off.  She was also not included on the IMDB page for the show.  I've personally seen the "Person of Interest" promos a million times on CBS and I didn't even know Taraji was on the show--seeing that they ave yet to include her.  Very interesting.  Still, the show premieres tomorrow night on CBS at 9pET.

'Two and a Half Men' Premieres

'Two and a Half Men' Premieres

After the months of hype and rumors, the Late Show with David Letterman appearances, the "All Will Be Revealed" promo ads, Two and a Half Men (CBS, Monday, 9 p.m. ET) finally took to the airwaves on Monday, with its first episode sans Charlie Sheen. Due to all that media chatter, we already knew the basic plotline: Charlie Harper would be killed off, and a broken-hearted internet billionaire (Ashton Kutcher) would be moving in.

Within the first few minutes, the details were provided. Friends, family and a gaggle of ex girlfriends (including Jeri Ryan, Emmanuelle Vaugier, Jenny McCarthy, Liz Vassey, Jodi Lyn O’Keefe and Tricia Helfer) gathered at Charlie's memorial service, where we're told that he was pushed in front of a subway train in Paris, apparently by his latest love, Rose (Melanie Lynskey)He'd cheated on her (big surprise), and the next thing you know, she was telling people that "his body exploded like a balloon full of meat."

If you were expecting a wistful goodbye to Sheen's long-running character, you got nothing of the sort. A meat-exploding body doesn't leave much room for future guest appearances by the troubled actor, no matter how conciliatory he's acted these past few weeks.

No, the episode made it resoundingly clear: Charlie Harper/Sheen is dead to Men creator Chuck Lorre. Even the guys' ashes were accidentally spilled on the floor, in a not-so-subtle, changing-of-the-guard scene. Alan (Jon Cryer) dropped the urn when he was spooked by Kutcher's character, Walden Schmidt, appearing for the first time at the window.

Charlie's own mother didn't even seem particularly bereaved. Sure Evelyn (Holland Taylor) was never a lovey-dovey sort, but all she seemed to care about was selling off the beach house. With added cameos from potential home buyers played by John Stamos, as well as Jenna Elfman and Thomas Gibson (weirdly appearing as their old characters from Dharma & Greg, another Lorre creation), the overriding message was this: Sorry, Charlie. The show's moved on. (And, by the way, more than 27 million viewers tuned in to see it happen!)

The effect of that message was harsh, but fitting. This show has never aimed to give viewers the warm and fuzzies. It's fueled by masturbation and fart jokes, after all. One-upping each other with cruel insults is what the brothers have always done best. Even in death, there's no love lost.

Based on the first episode, Kutcher's character should fit in just fine. He was often naked, and according to Alan, he's pretty well-equipped. And even when heart-broken, he's capable of bedding two women at once.

Fortunately, he's also a little dopey and naive, which makes the character softer than the irascible Charlie Harper, and therefore easier to like. He's arguably better-looking than Sheen, and most critics reviewing the episode have pointed out that he's an equally gifted comedian. "Kutcher’s performance was good, nearly as poker-faced fine as Sheen’s was," wrote Entertainment Weekly's Ken Tucker.

On the other hand, if you weren't a fan of the show to begin with, there's not much new here to attract you now. "Two and a Half Men is never too funny, never too odd, never too naughty," wrote Hank Steuver of the Washington Post. He added that Kutcher "demonstrated just how uncomplicated it is."

Charlie's out, and Ashton's in. You can't get less complicated than that.

R.I.P. Charlie.

Troy Davis Supporters Make Last-Minute Appeal For Death-Row Inmate

Big Boi spreads the word about protests in Georgia before Davis' scheduled execution on Wednesday.

With his execution looming on Wednesday night (September 21), Georgia death-row inmate Troy Davis' lawyers have been scrambling to piece together a last-minute appeal on his behalf. Davis has been fighting to win a clemency ruling that would spare him the death penalty for the 1989 killing of Georgia police officer Mark MacPhail, a crime he claims he did not commit.

Time magazine reported that his lawyers offered on Tuesday to have him take a polygraph test if the pardons board would consider its results, and some of Davis' supporters have suggested asking President Obama to intervene in the case, though legal experts said that was unlikely. A Georgia appeals panel refused the polygraph request on Wednesday in what has become the most high-profile death penalty case in the country in several years.

A number of prominent hip-hop artists have taken up Davis' cause, among them Diddy, ?uestlove, Killer Mike and Russell Simmons, as well as the ATL's Big Boi. The Outkast co-founder has taken to his Twitter account to spread the word about the case and try to get the word out about a series of protests planned for Wednesday around the city.

"Time to hit the streets people!!!! #Troydavis. Rally at the prison in Jackson Georgia 4:00 pm , time to be seen!!!!!" he wrote early Wednesday as part of a flurry of tweets about the topic. "Judge Penny Freezeman is apparently the only one that can stop the UNJUST execution of Troy Davis: 912-652-7252."

Boi's account is full of retweets from other celebs weighing in, including Kim Kardashian, Diddy, writer Kevin Powell, Cedric the Entertainer and Marlon Wayans. "At this point if you're in Atlanta or anywhere near, Jackson, Georgia, is where u need to be, out of towners can man the phones," he wrote.

MacPhail was working as a security guard at a Savannah, Georgia, Burger King in August 1989 when he tried to help a man who was being assaulted in a nearby parking lot. Davis was fingered as the assailant and during his 1991 trial a number of witnesses testified that they saw Davis shoot MacPhail, though a murder weapon and DNA evidence were never recovered from the scene. Ballistics tests showed that the fatal shot came from the same gun used in another shooting in which Davis was earlier convicted.

Davis' lawyers have argued that new ballistics tests disprove the prosecution's case and that seven of the nine original eyewitnesses changed all or part of their testimony in later proceedings. The long-running case has garnered worldwide attention and Davis' cause has been taken up by groups and individuals such as Amnesty International, the NAACP, former President Jimmy Carter, the Pope, civil rights leader Al Sharpton and former FBI director William Sessions, who've called on courts to grant Davis a hearing in light of the new evidence.

Lawyer Brian Kammer also tried to file a last-minute appeal based on new ballistics evidence and allegations of misleading testimony used in the original trial to convict Davis, but legal experts predicted those efforts would also likely fail to spare his client's life. Davis is scheduled to die by lethal injection at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

The case made it all the way to the Supreme Court last year, Davis' lawyers failed to prove their client's innocence.

Davis has maintained his innocence all along, but prosecutors in the case have repeatedly said they feel confident that the right man was convicted.

Watch 'RapFix Live' today at 4 pm ET on MTV.com as Big Boi and Pill discuss their protest of the Troy Davis execution with Sway.
