Sarah Palin Documentary 'The Undefeated' Trailer

Sarah Palin Documentary 'The Undefeated' Trailer

Sarah Palin is so used to getting lampooned, lambasted and laughed at in the media that she must be psyched to see the new trailer for The Undefeated, a documentary detailing Palin's vice presidential bid and her short tenure as governor of Alaska. Judging by the video, director Stephen Bannon's film is an uncritical -- some might say fawning -- look at the rise of the "Wasilla Warrior" and the ensuing Mama Grizzly phenomenon. Watch the trailer below!

The funny thing is, Palin herself is not interviewed in the documentary. Instead, ranks of women who look suspiciously like Palin, stand in front of a white screen and spout supportive comments such as, "She’s like a marine. She runs towards the danger."

The teaser starts with four words shown in white type on dramatic black screens: "Daughter." "Wife." "Mother." "Warrior." The music is portentous and dramatic and actually seems rather forbidding and frightening, rather than inspirational.

One of the talking heads says, with the telltale resentment against the establishment clear in her words, "It wasn't something that Daddy gave her. It wasn't something the machine prepared the way for." There are swipes against the "liberal media" and the "phony intelligentsia," all clear signs of Palin-approved talking points.

"She represented a threat to so many establishments," one of the commentators says. Palin's power as a public figure has always been her perceived independence from the political machine and the old-boy network of the Republican Party. The disenfranchised unhappy Republicans who dislike the federal government found it to be a powerful almost irresistible message.

While Palin has, so far, been coy about whether or not she is planning to run for president, many (like Jon Stewart) have wondered: If she isn't running for POTUS, then why is she driving around the country in a bus with her name on the side of it? Then there's director Stephen Bannon, who calls the film "a call to action for a campaign like 1976: Reagan vs. the establishment." The Mama Grizzly's fans are notoriously passionate, and obviously Team Palin hopes that The Undefeated will tap into their adoration, upping Palin's already high profile.

Then again, we can help but notice the inherent ironies in the film. Palin was governor of Alaska from December 2006 to July 2009, resigning before her term was up. So it is a bit curious that a movie about a losing vice presidential candidate and a governor who didn't even serve out her term would be called The Undefeated. But, hey, that's just our two cents.

The documentary opens July 15 in select theaters.

Britney Spears, Nicki Minaj And Ke$ha 'Till The World Ends' Remix Leaks

Reworked tune features an opening verse by Minaj as Ke$ha sings atop Spears' vocals throughout the song.

Britney Spears isn't the only pop titan dancing until the world ends: Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha have joined forces to add a new spin on an all-female remix of Femme Fatale's second single, "Till the World Ends."

The reworked dance anthem, which leaked online Friday (April 22), appears to have surfaced earlier than expected as noted by a series of countdowns on all three of the stars' websites.

Mixing the dance tune's original sonic swirls with heavier bass, Britney tourmate Minaj starts off the remix by throwing down an aggressive verse, in which she calls out a female hater: "A-A-A-A-A-AYE!/ Chimpanzees is hatin', but I take it all in stride/ Put her in a jungle with bananas on the side/ Told you they'd revive your career, but somebody lied/ I ain't talkin' poultry when I say this chicken's fried."

After Minaj spits a few introductory bars, Spears delivers the song's first verse before an introduction for the all-star trio. "It's Britney, bitch. I'm Nicki Minaj and that's Ke$ha!" the Young Money MC proclaims.

Ke$ha, who originally wrote the track for the pop princess, takes part in singing the club-ready track's chorus. Spears soon takes back control of the song as Ke$ha shadows the singer's lines toward the end of the second verse and bridge. Unlike the original version, the "Till the World Ends" remix also features a stuttering dubstep dance break.

News of a star-studded collaboration was hinted earlier this week when producer Dr. Luke tweeted, "@NICKIMINAJ killed it tonight!!!! thanks!!!"

Lady Gaga is currently in the planning stages for her next tour. After wrapping up her epic Monster Ball run earlier this year, Gaga teased her plans on a Japanese talk show on Tuesday (June 28).

"All over the world and I'm already planning," she said of the trek, which she expects to kick off at the top of 2012. "I'm so excited I can't even go to sleep at night."

Gaga appeared wearing a black-and-white dress, with her hair done up in two buns and her eye makeup painted in two panda-like circles. "I really like pandas," she told the hosts of her look, adding, "pandas have paws, and I always tell my fans to put their paws up. I've been eating a lot of bamboo this week," she joked. (Shortly after the appearance, the singer even began referring to herself as Gagapanda on Twitter.)

She then played a little game called "Yes or No," where she was asked questions about her popularity on Twitter, her love of cooking, her clothes and more. She later elaborated on some of the topics. "My dream is to continue to make music and tour and do as much as I can to give as much back to my fans," she said. "Personal dreams? I suppose one day I'll have panda babies."

Gaga owned up to having one major fear, however. "The only thing I really get scared of is missing out on moments with my family 'cause I travel so much, so I call my mom and dad every day," she said. Asked whether she was scared of ghosts, Gaga said, "No, we can be friends." She went on to add, "I love Japanese monster movies. I actually believe in ancestors. I have a lot of family in my past like my Aunt Joann and my grandfather that have passed on and I talk to them."
